Our Aims: To provide a comprehensive 'taster' of a psychology degree, covering most of the topics that you will encounter in your first year at university. Especially useful if you do not have A-levels in the subject, however all levels will benefit from a sneak preview. These sessions are carried out by a tutor trained psychology lecturer with the benefit of knowledge of course formats of different universities.
The cost for these sessions is £100. This price includes any support needed outside of the session.

Session 1. An outline of this course as well as what you should expect from a psychology degree. Session 2. A look at psychological research and how you will be expected to carry this out as a 1st year undergraduate. Session 3. Using statistical packages, especially SPSS to carry out tests to demonstrate relationships between groups. Session 4. An introduction to the topics of psychobiology, memory and perception. Session 5. A look at social psychology and abnormal psychology (schizophrenia and depression).
