About My Work!
I have been studying the Art & Craft of clay for the past three years, and I love the freedom it gives me to express and explore my inner-self. It releases me , and gives me a great sense of achievement to bring visual art to others.
Much of my work has been based around the female form, often looking at the changes from thin to fat.
I also enjoy sculpting organic forms, and often do this by just going with the clay, and seeing where it takes me. I feel my creativity just flowing when this happens.
My building techniques vary from coiling and slab building, and the surfaces from smooth to very textured.
In my work I see many levels of thoughts and emotions, and sometimes a touch of humour.
I am insired by many artist's, but love the work of Picasso, Henry Moore, Barbara Hepworth, and Mo Jupp.
