Devoted To Adam Rickitt 9
This Interview is taken from Teletext on ITV1
Adam Rickitt’s never been one for keeping his clothes on & his comeback to Corrie this week proves nothing has changed.

Adam, 24 who plays boy-next-door type Nick Tilsley, embarks on a steamy affair with crimper Maria.

“There’s a harder way to make your living than sitting with her naked all day,” he tells TV plus. “Our attitude was, if we’re going to do the kissing scenes, don’t do them all teenagery & sweet.”

Despite wanting to make his snogging scenes in Corrie as raunchy as possible, Adam Rickitt wasn’t keen on showing off his infamous bare chest.

“When we did get the scripts, they did say ‘Nick topless’,” he says. “But i said I wasn’t doing that.”

“I told the scriptwriters they milked every single penny’s worth out of it last time & I didn’t particularly enjoy doing it. I wanted a bit more control this time & said I’d wear a T-shirt or a vest or something.”

Corrie pin-up Adam Rickitt is home for the first time in three years after living out in the states.
This week, viewers see him turn up on the Street to surprise mum Gail on her wedding day to dodgy Richard.
“I’d been asked before to come back full time but Icouldn’t because of other commitments,” he tells TV plus.”

Since we last saw him in Corrie, hunky Adam Rickitt has found huge success touring with hit musical rent.

“It was amazing, out of everything I’v done it’s been the biggest learning experience,” says Adam, who starred in  the production.

“ I did a years tour anf then three months in the West End.  Playing the lead in the West End show was scary,  I was ill with laryngitis, but despie that.”

The best part about being back on Corrie after a three year break is seeing everybody, says Adam Rickitt.

“It’s been really nice just to hang out & catch up with old friends & stuff,” says Adam, who plays Gails son Nick Tilsley.

One big change about his character is that Adam has finally been allowed to lop off Nick’s “poncey” hairstyle. “I loathed long hair,” he laughs. “I got stuck with it for four years or something ridiculous-it was awful.”
