We drive to St. Andrews by the scenic route, passing close to Stirling Castle and the Wallace Monument, then drive throuigh the Hillfoot Towns at the foot of the Ochil Hills (including the old town of Dollar, where gold was mined many years ago).
Arrive St. Andrews and walk the 17th & 18 th holes of the Old Course towards the R & A Clubhouse, and visit the World Golf Museum..
Next we visit St. Andrews Castle, then St. Andrews' ruined Cathedral, where both Old Tom and Young Tom Morris, the famous winners of the early Open Championships are buried..
An option for lunch is to eat Fish and chips wrapped in newspaper at Anstruther Harbour.
Next we drive along the coast to Lower Largo, the birthplace of Alexander Selkirk (Robinson Crusoe), before returning to your Hotel.
