I have been brought up with the Sturtmoor Kennels, and the dogs within it for the majority of my life. I have been going to dog shows with the family for as long as I can remember, and usually it was my job to watch the dogs on the benches, while my Mum and Sister showed the others in the ring. It took me a long time to gather up the courage to go out on my own so to speak. I was happier handling other peoples dogs (preferably very large dogs I could hide behind). I am perfectly happy being flung in the ring with anything from a collie to a ridgeback. I often get told by my husband that, he comes after the kids, and the dogs.

Kevin had never owned a dog before we met, so he was thrown in the deep end. He has a really good eye for a dog, which a lot of people would love to possess as a natural skill. He is the rock of the family. He gave up playing rugby when we had our son, and has been coming to the shows ever since. I have yet to persuade him to get into the ring ( but that doesn't mean that I won't win one day!!!). He enjoys the smooths, as they are so easy to live with. He is a very laid back person who is very hard to rattle. Kevin is always there to help at a drop of a hat, and never thinks twice about it.

Keira is just 13, and she is a bundle of fun. She is very intelligent, and excels at school. She enjoys showing the dogs, but has hobbies of her own. She does very well with her sports, hockey is the main love of her life ( she is also good at most ball and raquet sports). She is also about to start to learn judo.
She likes helping out at dog matches, and her speciality is getting blood out of a stone, raffle profits are always higher when she sells the tickets. Every body comments on how polite she is, and how she will help with anything. We are very, very proud of her acheivements.

Kaivan is 6 1/2 years old, and is dog mad. He is happy as long as he is with his mutts. His best dog in the world though is my Mums Estrela "Tani". When they are together it is lovely to watch. Kaivan is looking forward to going in the ring with one of the dogs, but the boys are a little too strong for him at present. He loves to practise with his friends dog "Puzzle". Kaivan is one of those children that people are drawn too, because of his personality. He is polite and considerate, but has a really cheeky side to him too. He comes out with some brilliant comments, that will have us in fits of laughter for hours. He is totally obsessed with mathmatics (strange child), and will throw sum's at you at any time.
