A model railway construction.

I am attempting to build a model railway and I will be regularly updating this page on it's progress.
This is my first attempt at a model railway, and I'm on a very tight budget.
The railway is set in the late 20's on a fictional GWR branchline station (complete with turntable and a 2 road engine shed!). the layout will eventually run around the sides of a 13' by 11' room.

Update 16/1/07
Sorry for lack of updates in past few years. Since the house move I've been unable to set up the layout, but I'm still working on rolling stock kits, including my first brass kit, a Blacksmith Horsebox kit, this isn't going too bad, I've also made a few more cattle wagons and a mobile crane. The house / pub is finished but needs paining and the Signal box is fixed, although needs a repaint in a few aread. Thanks for support, hopefully i'll get the layout set back up and get more pictures some time.

Update 5/9/04
New pictures today. Ive been doing the windows in the pub / houses I'm making, helped by good recent articles in both BRM and RM, and i accidently trod on the signal box before a recent landlord house inspection. It is salvable but will bear the scars. (the picture is prior to being squashed )

Update 20/8/04
Have not down much to the layout, a bit of fencing around the station and made some hedges out of kitchen scourers and flock. The buildings are coming along, no new pictures yet, but I have made a track diagram. Unfortunately I've decided to change the track position again, the insulfrog points are no use for slow running and the small platform doesn't look right, so i will move the yurnout along to the end of the board. This is a pain as it's been ballasted, but there's no point doing it if your not happy with it !
