The practical driving test currently costs £48.50 week days and £58 on a week day evening or Saturday. (It should be noted that not all test centres conduct evening or Saturday tests.)

The people responsible for conducting driving tests are the DSA, (Driving Standards Agency), whose head office is in Nottingham. They operate the various test centres around the country. The driving test centre for the Portsmouth area is located at Fort Southwick, James Callaghan Drive.
