Read a detailed study of the odd claim that the international norms violated by the Iraq War are a relatively recent idea, begun with the Treaty of Westphalia in 1648.  It began with Philip Bobbitt, but has now been advanced by Tony Blair.

Also a look at truth and 'Bliaring', which is something subtly different from actual lies.
