ADVENT AND CHRISTMAS 2001
Sunday 2nd December – Sunday services. Carol service with the Church Choir in Ceres Church at 6.30pm.
Sunday 16th December - "Gift services" with collection of gfts for underprivileged children and pensioners in Romania.
Sunday 23rd December - Short service at Springfield Church at 9.45am. Service with children's nativity play at Ceres Church at 11am.
Christmas Eve - Monday 24th December - Carol service at Springfield Church at 6.30pm and at Ceres Church at 11.45pm.
Christmas Day - Tuesday 25th December - Family services for Christmas Day (Springfield Church at 9.45am and Ceres Church at 11am).
Sunday 30th December - Services of Lessons and Carols.
Sunday 20th January - Family services (all ages together).
Saturday 9th February - Special service at Ceres Church starting at 10am. This service will be recorded for television and broadcast on Grampian (ITV) on Sunday 17th November 2002. The recording will last approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes. All welcome. Come and join in what should prove a very memorable experience!
Sunday 24th February - "Presbytery Sunday" annual pulpit exchange.
The Rev Rosemary Frew (Moderator of the Presbytery of St Andrews and Minister at Largo) to preach in Ceres.
Mrs Mary King (Reader in Presbytery) to preach at Springfield.
The Rev Matthew Ross will preach at Balmullo.
Sunday 3rd March - Communion service at Ceres Church (11am), also service of thanksgiving at 6.30pm.
Sunday 17th March - Family services.
Thursday 28th March - Communion service for Maundy Thursday at Springfield Church (6.30pm).
Friday 29th March - Service for Good Friday in Ceres Church at 6.30pm.
Sunday 31st March - Easter.
Sunday 21st April - Family services (all ages together).
Sunday 5th May - Communion service at Springfield Church, 9.45am.
Saturday 25th May - Start of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland.
Sunday 2nd June - Family services, Sunday School prizegiving and picnic. (End of Sunday School term).
Sunday 16th June - Communion service at Ceres Church, using the historic long communion tables.
Tuesday 18th June - Arrival of our guests from our twin church in Newport, PA, USA.
Saturday 29th June - Ceres Highland Games.
Friday 30th August - Start of the Church of Scotland's National Youth Assembly, Glasgow.
Sunday 6th October - Communion service at Ceres Church (11am), with service of thanksgiving at 6.30pm.
Sunday 13th October - Harvest Thanksgiving services.
