The current Church building in Ceres dates from 1806, replacing a much older structure. Ceres Church is notable for the "long communion tables" running the full length of the building, parallel to the central aisle.
The Church building in Springfield dates from 1861.
The parishes of Ceres and Springfield were "linked" in 1983 and "united" in 1989. A "linkage" means that both churches retained separate administrations, but shared a minister. The "union" means that there is only one Kirk Session, Congregational Board, etc - but two church buildings remain open.
More information and a full list of former ministers will appear here soon.
If you are enquiring about past burials in Ceres cemetery, please address all enquiries to Fife Council (not the church) at the County Buildings, St Catherine Street, Cupar.
Old records of the church are held at the Muniments Room of St Andrews University library.
