Theology in the Dales - A Christology Course for the 21st Century

Jesus; Revolutionary for our Time - 26th July - 2nd August 2008. This is one-week course will use contemporary contextual learning that will seek to meet each perticipant where they are.

Course Content:

This exciting and accessible course is open to all who would like to explore new developments in understanding the person of Jesus and the implications for a Christian faith fit for the 21st century. The Course will include workshops on;

Theological Reflection,
Scripture: Word of God or Wisdom of Man,
Born Divine?,
Parables: Story or Subversion,
Miracles: Magic or Metaphor
and, Resurrection: A Conjuring Trick with Bones? .

The course will be grounded in worship and there will be ample time each day to explore the magnificent countryside in and around Askrigg.

Places on this first course are limited and will be secured by returning the booking form and deposit. The cost of the course is 90 pounds per person, this includes tuition, all course materials and lunch on six days out of the seven.

The information pack will include contact details for local accommodation. The cost of accomodation varies depending on style of accomodation you require but we hope there will be something to suit most budgets.

We ask people to book their accomodation directly. Askrigg is a a typical North Yorkshire villiage and staying locally will give participants a wonderful opportunity to exlore the stunning beauty of the North Yorkshire Dales National Park.
