Coed Llandegla Forest covers 650 hectacres and is owned and managed by UPM Tilhill and is one of the largest privetly owned recreation facilities in North Wales.
The forest has mountain biking trails suitable for beginners to the more experienced bikers, a choice of picturesque walking trails, bridleways and roads suitable for carriage driving and horse riding.
What better way to reflect on an enjoyable visit to Coed Llandegla Forest than relaxing with a coffee at the Visitors Centre, a purpose built, ecologically sound and spacious log cabin located at the trail head operated by OnePlanet Adventure
At present access to Coed Llandegla is limited for horse riding and carriage driving. Access for horse riding is by using the bridleway at the old car park just off the A525 and Offas Dyke.
The British Driving Society North East Wales was invited by UPM Tilhill to hold carriage driving rallies along the forest roads in Coed Llandegla.
UPM Tilhill early 2007 will be providing a designated parking area to allow weekend and bank holiday access for carriage driving and horse riding within the Coed Llandegla to members of C.L.C.D.H.R.A (Coed Llandegla Carriage Driving and Horse Riding Association).
