The Bacon Eating Veggie label started as a dream, worked slowly towards becoming an ambition and eventually became a reality in the middle of Finsbury Park, London at the Fleadh Festival in 2002. Based in Essex, the labels aim is to get as many quality bands heard as possible through the medium of live gigs, compilation CD's or just by word of mouth.
Lead by Nicol Stone, the debut compilation is a bench mark for all those aspiring to promote the music they believe in. Not because it is amazingly good or well designed or even well promoted but as proof that all it takes is a lot of will power and a passion to keep going, no matter what the odds. All opinions are appreciated, so feel free to comment below.

Deadbeat Radicals: Hailing from Newcastle, the DBR (above) are a mixture of electro trash pop with a sexy punk rock after taste. A few singles released to date like the superb debut 'Crazy Town' which features on the compilation.

Wink: Wink (right) are a French based UK Indie rock band who supported The Electric Soft Parade when they toured France. Very tight act who have contributed the track 'Disease' for use on the compilaton.

Starcrasher: Female American rock band Starcrasher (right) have a very bright future and most definetly are one band to look out for in the future. The band have just taken on a new manager and are working on their new demo which promises to be amazing. The band jave allowed me to use the track 'Everything' from one of their very first demos on the compilation CD.
Jon Does: Long running Leeds based punkers The Jon Does (right) play in the vein of US bands such as The Ataris and prove the UK can compete on an equal level to whatever the US can produce. Contributed the amazing 'Major League' to the compilation.
The Mystic Underground: Fresh out of New York City comes the electro act The Mystic Underground (left). With the US invasion of electrobands such as Fisherspooner, the band have a bright future and are already getting airplay in mainland Europe with their next single 'Mary's Dead' which they have also contributed to the compilation.
Rocking Horse: Colchester based band with a lot of publicity already to their name. Have appeared in The Sun (of all the papers to appear in!) and have a fair few support slots to put their name to including Crashland at the Arts Centre in Colchester. Twin female vocals with some nice touches and have allowed the track 'Teenage Communist Flirtation' to appear on the compilation.
Bulletproof Sounds: AKA Deakin Scott, BPS have made some major in roads with his tracks being used left, right & centre in the UK and America in numerous film scores and television programs. Appeared on the Sony CD 'King Pin' which showcased some of the best unsigned bands in the UK.  Has contributed the track 'I've Seen The End Of Time'  to the compilation.
Irk: Hard to know what to say about Irk. Fresh out of Walton, the bands demo impressed me enough for inclusion on the compilation. Slightly surreal in a drunken way punk rock with a dirty edge, the band have contributed the track 'So What If I'm A Paedophile?' for inclusion on the compilation.
Kitshickers: Out of Luxembourg come the Kitshickers who are influenced by Nirvana and aren't ashamed to show it! Constantly playing their homeland and with a support slot with King Prawn behind them, the band are due to play a mini tour of the UK in the near future. With 2 albums released, we have managed to convince the band to allow us to use the raw demo track 'Obey Me' for inclusion on the compilation.
Sensus: From the musical wilderness of Slough comes one of the best kept secrets in the UK indie scene. Sensus are a band with the musical potential to become amazing, and with their last CD being produced by Ronan Chris Murphy of Weezer & Tool fame, things are looking promising. Have contributed the track 'Synthetic' for use on the compilation.
Stereo Cat Babies: Unsigned and ludicrously young act from Livingston in Scotland. Taking the best parts of New Order & Depeche Mode & injecting it with a touch of Nine Inch Nails and in turn producing one of the best demos I have heard in a long time. Have contributed the track 'Dream Song' to the compilation.
Action Cats: Band from Los Angeles who provide some of the finest pop rock of the moment. Criminally under rated band with bags of talent. Contributed the track 'Ooh Ohh Baby for inclusion on the compilation.
Popup Boy: Another band from LA with a pechant for poppy rhythm & blues. Catchy little tunes lead the way and the band have given the track 'Show Me With Your Hands' to be used on the compilation.
B*Movie Heroes: One of the best UK punk rock bands that proves that old blighty can compete with the likes of The Ataris. With their new album ''Anthems For The Underdog' due for release in mid June, they have given me the brand new track 'S.O.S' to use on the compilation.
Other bands also appearing on the compilation are Three Litre, Trayscrape & Arco and their information will become available on the site in the near future. Thanks to all the bands who have contributed tracks and their time to this project and lastly, thanks to you for checking this site out!
