We
have horses and ponies who need re-homing,
as well as those for sponsorship. We
also have a special case...her name is
Minnie with her little foal Georgie Girl.
All
our horses and ponies are to be re-homed as companion ponies only and
a legal loan agreement will be signed ensuring that the ponies will remain
the property of Freshfields for their lifetime. Please telephone for more
information.
Volunteers
Needed: (over 15years old) Rugs and tack always needed, as well as items
for our charity shop in Pool Street, Caernarfon.
For
Loan Homes...The following Horse/Ponies are available on loan to good
homes.
Walter and William who need a good home. They are 4 year old shetland
ponies - geldings.Dear little chaps desperate for a happy home. We had
hoped they were re-homed, but the people changed their minds, so this
is rather an urgent case.
Sam
and Murphy are
shetland ponies aged 3 years and 5 years. Both geldings. Their owner died
and her family were unable to keep the animals.. Murphy is a little more
shy than his companion but both good natured. Both were originally rescued
from homes where they were badly neglected. We would like to find them
a home together. Sam is prone to laminitis so requires restricted grazing.
People who know shetlands will understand that this is often a problem
with them. They are both a little overweight which will not help Sam's
condition and we will be curtailing his access to grass until he loses
a little weight. He is well at the moment and requires no treatment.
Heather
is approximately 5 years old, a shetland pony, and Paddy is a colt
foal. he will have to be gelded when he is old enough. He is 4 weeks old
this week. They need a home where they can live and be kept together.
We do not want to split them.
Murphy
is 17.2hands, a big cross Irish Draft/thoroughbred. He is 8 years old,
was born with a twisted fetlock and he has an added problem of a chipped
bone in the same leg. This causes no problems if he is not ridden and
he would make an ideal companion for another horse. We had no problems
at all introducing him into an established group. Murphy was due to be
destroyed when we heard of him, this gentle handsome chap needs a loving
home where he can spend the rest of his days.
We
are pleased to welcome you at Freshfields Wales, where you can see all
of our animals between the hours of 10am -12noon (7 days a week) other
times by appointment only. (Because we also need to set aside time for
caring for the animals).
