Saving The Lives 0f Animals
Freshfields Animal Rescue Centre was founded
by Lesley Tarleton in 1975.
We have a non destruction policy because
we care about all animals. New supporters are always needed
as we rely on you, the public, to help us continue our work.
We are a registered charity and your donations can make the
difference between life or death.
We set no time limits on finding new homes for our animals.
Many are with us for life, so we need your donations to keep
them alive. If you would like to make a donation or sponsor
a horse/pony please fill in the online form on our donations page.
Large animals like horses live with us; there are dogs,
cats, pigs and sheep as well as other needy creatures as and
when they arise.
We are pleased to welcome you at Freshfields Wales, where
you can see all of our animals between the hours of 10am -12noon
(7 days a week) other times by appointment only. (Because
we also need to set aside time for caring for the animals).
We
are desperate for a Handyman,
someone who can do fencing, and occasional voluntary help
at the shelter.We are very desperate for someone to help us
erect some fencing as the job is most urgent.
We also we have Christmas Cards
for sale at our shops in Caernarfon and Porthmadog, and at
the shelter. We also have notepads, Address Books, and 2008
Diaries, as well as Inexpensive stocking fillers for animal
lovers. with photos of rescued pets on the covers.
It
has come to our notice that there has been an issue involving
the killing of the wild goats in Snowdonia. We express deep
concern and abhor the gross abuse of these indigenous creatures
especially as we believe it is being done as a sport and/or
tourist attraction.. A petition related to the saving of these
wonderful creatures can be signed by contacting any of our
fund raising shops in Caernarfon or Porthmadog, or by sending
an email to freshfieldswales@aol.com
