Dusty was born in West Hampstead London on April 16th 1939, she was Christened Mary Isobel Catherine Bernadette O'Brien, her Mother was Irish and her Father was a Scot, in the late 50's she was in a group called The Lana Sisters, then in about 1960 her and brother Tom and Tim Field formed The Springfields, in the Autumn of 1963 Dusty went solo, the first single she made was called 'I only want to be with you', in 1966 she had a number one hit with ' You don't have to say you love me' that was the only number one she had, Dusty also made records with the Pet Shop Boys, the last single she made was called 'Roll Away' that was in 1995, about that time she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Dusty died on March 2nd 1999 at the age of 59 years and 10 months, she died peacefully in her sleep at her home in Harpsden Bottom, just South of Henley on Thames, she was cremated, her grave is at St Mary the Virgin's Church at Henley on Thames.....
