Glam Rock Christmas? Why? Well, the glam rock genre was responsible in it's few short years for more enduring seasonal classics than most other genres put together. Almost every major glam artist (and a few minor ones) recorded a Christmas offering, and if it wasn't for their annual appearance on those 'Now! Christmas!' compilations, how many youngsters today would otherwise be aware of the existance of Slade, Wizzard and Mud?

I also have several Christmas compilation CD's in my collection (purchased in Hungary of all places) which contain Christmas tracks by the likes of The Glitter Band, Suzi Quatro, Hello, The Rubettes, Mungo Jerry, Racey and other non-glam 70's artists, but have no information on when these recordings date from, although they certainly were never released as singles. Anybody out there have any information on these?
