6th November - BILLY MURCIA - New York Dolls - choked on coffee after overdose of mandrax.

10th February - DAVE ALEXANDER - bassist for The Stooges - Pneumonia
May - ERIC EMERSON - lead singer with The Magic Tramps and Andy Warhol superstar - Killed in hit and run incident
Date unknown - ZEKE ZETTNER - one time drummer for The Stooges - Unknown causes
1977
16th September - MARC BOLAN (real name Marc Feld) - singer with T.Rex and founder of Glam! - Car crash
1980
27th October  STEVE 'PEREGRINE' TOOK - Bolan's partner in Tyrannosaurus Rex - choked to death on a cherry stone.
1981
28th April  STEVE CURRIE - Bass player with T.Rex - Car crash.
28th August - GUY STEVENS - Producer, including Mott The Hoople and Heavy Metal Kids - Heart attack.

7th March  -  DIVINE (real name Harris Glenn Milstead) - Transvestite actor and singer - Combination of weight problems and sleep apnea.
16th June  -  KIM MILFORD - Played Rocky in the Roxy cast production of The Rocky Horror Show - Heart failure after surgery.
14th August  -  ROBERT CALVERT - Was in Hawkwind and recorded solo album 'Captain Lockheed And The Starfighters' with Eno - Heart attack.
21st December  -  PAUL JEFFREYS - Bassist with Cockney Rebel, and briefly with BeBop Deluxe - Died in the Lockerbie plane crash.

31st March - ADRIAN FISHER - Guitarist with Sparks - Possibly drug related.
30th June - CUB CODA - Guitarist with Brownsville Station - Complications from kidney disease.

29th August - GRAEME 'SHIRLEY' STRACHAN - Lead vocalist with Skyhooks - Crashed a helicopter he was learning to fly
1st September - TED MULRY - Leader of Aussie glam outfit the Ted Mulry Gang - Cancer

14th February - MICK TUCKER - Drummer with The Sweet - Leukemia.
22nd July - GUS DUDGEON - Producer whose work included Elton's Goodbye Yellow Brick Road and Bowie's Space Oddity - Car crash.

11th January - MICKEY FINN - Bongo player/Percussionist with T.Rex (and later Mickey Finn's T.Rex) - Possibly kidney and/or liver problems.
6th May  -  GERRY SHEPHERD - Singer/guitarist with The Glitter Band - Cancer (to be confirmed)
30th May - MICKIE MOST - Glam producer (Sweet, Suzi Quatro, Mud), and founder of Glam mega-label RAK. - Cancer

21st February - LES GRAY - Lead singer with Mud - Heart attack after cancer.
13th July - ARTHUR 'KILLER' KANE - Bassist with the New York Dolls - Pneumonia brought about by leukemia.
