The following items of mess kit were available to members of the Womens Army Corps (WAC) and the Army Nurse Corps (ANC). The large hole in the handle of the knife fork and spoon allowed them to be slid over the handle of the meat can for washing. The slot in the cup handle allows the fork to be used to lift the cup safely off a cooker or fire.
