1. Nominal Rolls of Infantry Regiments in the Boer War in South Africa 1899-1902. These are extracted from the full rolls that I have for the following Regiments:

Lancashire Fusiliers (A sample of a fully detailed roll, plus availability details can be found here)
2. Casualty Rolls of the Crimean War of 1854-56. Extracted from the London Gazettes of the period and first published in book by Cook & Cook. These are mostly second-hand details of battle casualties (not disease) and are not renowned for accuracy, however they are a good starting point. I have added in a few details taken from musters and Depot books and changed the rolls from Regimental order to Surname order.

Surnames: A-C  D-F  G-I  J-L  M-O  P-R  S-U  V-Z
3. Casualty Rolls of the South African Campaign of 1877-79 (the Zulu War). Extracted from the work by Tavender which was published in a Regimental and Rank order - here it is listed by surname. These casualties are Battle casualties, not those who died of disease.
4. Nominal Roll of the 15th Hussars in Bangalore, April 1845. This was part of an experiment in producing electronic versions of the Muster and Pay lists (WO 12 series at the PRO). These are the name/rank/number details of the muster, the original being an Excel database which can be emailed on request.
Indian Mutiny Medal 1857-59
The medals of No.3408 George Hadley of the 2nd Border Regiment. L to R :- Indian General Service 1854-95 (bar Waziristan 1894-95), Queens South Africa medal, Army Temperance Medals (1 year & 6 months).

6. Depot Rolls of the 34th Foot (Cumberland) for the period 1838-1873. This is a list of 6500+ entries from the combined sources of the Crimean Casualty Roll, Indian Mutiny Roll and Depot Book of the 34th Foot (WO 67 at the PRO), all men who joined in this period should be covered. Some of the information is slightly contradictory, but as a whole it is a useful tool for anyone with an interest in this unit. The records are sorted alphabetically:-
A-Dy  Dy-G  H-Ju  Ju-M  N-P  Q-S  T-Z
7. Boer War Shipping Lists. These lists were extracted from the LONDON TIMES SHIPPING LIST for the period July 1899 to  December 1902 as well as the CAPE TIMES WEEKLY EDITION SHIPPING LIST for the period January 1899 to December 1902. This wonderful work contains nearly 500 pages of details on the movement of troops in and out of the South African theatre and contains many references to individuals - mostly officers. I have to acknowledge the source of the information - Ken Hallock - and I am very grateful that he has consented to allow me to publish this. In order to make it more readable I have split the list into the following periods -   1899              1900              1901              1902
8. Nominal Roll of the 1st Battalion of the Gordon Highlanders during their period in Cairo from October 1883 to March 1884. This list was extracted from the Regimental  Paylists/Musters and covers 984 Officers & Men. This page can be found here.

9. Ongoing indexing of the men of the Royal Garrison Regiment. The RGR were a force raised in the UK in 1901 to man the Garrison posts of Gibraltar & Malta and later Canada & South Africa. The unit existed from 1901 to 1905 and raised 5 Battalions in total, the men being numbered to around 8500. The men in the RGR were normally veteran soldiers who had completed one period of service (12 years) and were enlisted both from Militia units and those troops returning from South Africa as 'time expired'. In their number they had men who had fought in all campaigns from the Zulu war to the Boer War as well as several winners of DCM's. Their papers are often to be found seperate to those of Regular Troops and this was why I indexed these men. The partial index (containing RGR number, name, place of birth and former regiment) can be found HERE.. any questions on the men, or requests for service papers, please contact me.

10. Some notes on the Bengal Unattached List, with an index of 200 men of the Punjab list in 1903 and research on 2 men who served on the list (Benjamin Sykes & John Kerr) can be found HERE.
