Dillon was bred in Luxembourg, by Jacqueline Schmit, of du Vieux Poirier's ACD's.
Dillon obviously read the breed standard as a pup, and modelled his character on it. He's very loyal and protective, but also a real snuggle-bug, with the world's waggiest tail!
He loves to work, learns quickly, and does well in any sport I care to try, such as agility, obedience, and working trials. He is a former holder of the ACD Society of GB Ravenswing Obedience Trophy, has his Silver CGC award, and also a number of wins in agility. Unfortunately for him, I'm a real dabbler - I try this and that, but don't commit to anything. Oh well, at least he get's variety.
He was bought only as pet, but Jacqueline encouraged me to show him,and he won the CAC and CACIB at his very first show! Dillon was shown 10 times at international championship shows while I lived in Europe, and he won 10 CAC's, 9 CACIB's and 1 reserve, as well as the titles of Europasieger, Winner Amsterdam, and Brussels Winner.
Dillon had a brief stud career, curtailed by me when he decided to take matters into his own paws in 2002, with True. However, he'd already sired a number of lovely babies, including-
