My name is Angela Cocker, I was born in Christchurch, New Zealand, but currently live in England, where I work as a Dental Hygienist.
In 1993, when working on a Thoroughbred stud in South Gippsland, Australia, my employer asked me to raise an ACD pup for him, and I currently own 3 ACD's.
I like to work my dogs, and show occasionally, though none of us particularly enjoy it. I had my first litter last year, which was a real pleasure (possibly as there were just 2 pups!) and am a committee member of the ACD Society of GB.
An Ironbark is a variety of Eucalyptus tree, with very tough, grey wood, but I choose my affix from the Banjo Paterson poem, 'The Man From Ironbark'. My favourite poem of his is actually 'The Man From Snowy River', but it didn't have the same ring to it!
