True was bred in England, by Sue Huntingdon of Warrigal ACD's.
I said to Sue I wanted a laid-back pup, and I think True is possibly the most laid back ACD in the world! She loves people, especially children, is fine with dogs and cats, and bombproof in any situation. She has represented the ACD at Discover Dogs, Crufts, every year since she was 6 months old.
True has done very well in the breed ring, despite being shown very sparingly. She was BPIS at both of 2001 UK ACD specialities, and BB and BOS at one, RBB at the other.
She's not very keen to work, we had to put a plank under the lowest height bar on an agility jump to stop her going under it, and when I took her sheep herding, she sat next to the fence and ate grass!
However, she's the star of her obedience class, and is the first ACD to gain the Kennel Club's Gold Canine Good Citizen award. She's been invited to join the club competition team, but I don't think she'd be too thrilled if she knew, 'Take it easy' is her motto.
