My Cars
Please note; there are two glaring ommisions here, one was a Lambretta LD150 scooter I had aged 15 with crap body panels and loads of rust, the other was a brand new Nissan Cherry 1.3 in 1988, similar problems.lol.Oops, just remembered I also had a black Nissan Cherry Fastback, with central locking (coat hangers under the floor) and an Escort Mk 3 Diesel estate.(The heater worked, best bit).
My first vehicle, an Austin A40,
bought from the mananger of Ketts
for £30, before I had a licence.
I reversed it into a tree practicing
driving in our road, then resprayed
it mauve, as it was one of the only
paints my Dad had in his garage.
These cars had a certain smell about
them, I think it was called rotting carpet. lol
The first obstcale with the Mini
850 was too get the gear lever
into gear. A large club hammer
sorted that, and hey presto!
I instantly became
a car mechanic(spooky noise)
And here she is, my first
Vespa 50, oh darling forgive
me, I swapped her to get the
Mini on the right, from an
Autralian backpacker.lol
I speedily moved up into the
fast lane, with a Twin Turbo/
Supercharged Honda 50 cc
Moped..Brrrrrrrrmmm
Cortina 1300, WOW ! POW!
ZAP! BOOM! Really wannted
a 1600E, but only had 1300
money £70. Soon resprayed it,
had to buy paint this time too,
it had a neat sandpaper textute
to it, called, lack of skill.
And Voila!!HA  after a blue rinse, here she is, Dads last blue paint begged 'use me', so I did.lol...no wonder the Post Office had these as vans, they were real speed machine..NOT
Loved this Cortina, this pic at
Margate, the car had a roof
spoiler, and red lights under
each wheel arch, what a cruiser.
The police pulled me up evey two weeks.
And that's where you stay George, dripping wet, serves you right for letting us push you into Ruislip Lido.lol, Oh, A Vauxhall Viva HA. Body panels were 'clamped ' together.lol
This hairy thug was always hanging about near the Mini trying to steal the badges, dunno who he was.
I love Mins, and this Minivan was a right heap.lol. not quite sure why I bought it, couldn't even fit a mattress in the back.
Think I bought this Volvo 122S coz it had rubber mats, and to test out a polaroid camera. Sold car when I needed a £60 tool to check brakes.lol
Austin Mini Clubman, transformed into an Austin Corniche, a friend supplied a lot of Rolls Royce badges, and I wore a cravat.
This Fiat 127 sport, I adored, a real buzz box, whose rattle made me change all the piston rings in the snow, the fault? a  loose exhaust.lol
Audi 90 super, brill car, column change gears, and wings held on by underseal
Austin Mini, this car I HATED...no comment.
Lent this Mini Pick-up to her brother , forgot my car key collection was in the door pocket. Police pulled him up, lol, he spent a night in the cells, poor sod.
Toured Cornwall in
this yellow
Cortina Mk 4,it was
 my wake up call
to a real car.
When an advert states 'job includes car' always ask what you're gonna get. Morris Marina
Though I was on a winner with this Cortina 1500 GT, alas a car transporter was driven through it outside my house. shame.
Wasn't even a bet this Austin Allegro, it was nick named the green hearse, what a tip.
Now this is how to pose, a shiney new respray on my MGB, up London.

The only car I know that runs on large rubber bands, that aside I liked this Volvo 340
This was a huge step up from the Volvo, the Sierra was a good car, apart from the colour.lol
A new job? You need a top
flight car, they said, as it
goes , I like the Fiesta
Many good memories of the Ford
Escort 1.3, A red car,? for me?

'In between jobs?' you need

lol Ford Sierra 1.8, a good car
with a dodgy auto gearbox, and
good turn of speed.

Honda Accord 2.0i Vtec, great car, does everything really well, just has bland packaged along with it, still a goodie.
I don'r care if it's new, I
don't want another bloody
red car!! Mondeo or not,
superb roadholding though.
Oh a red Citroen Picasso, one where the radio turns itself up on the motorway as the road noise increases, wonderful.lol.. let me just scream a bit more.
