Welcome, this site is mainly based around the removal of malware. Malware stands for malicious software and includes things like viruses and spy/adware. The aim of the site is to aid the victims of malware infections remove them from their PC's as well as providing resources for those who volunteer their free time to help them.

HijackThis is an advanced tool for removing malware infections that normal antispyware removers will not. The tools page includes various software that I have developed including HJTHotkey which is designed to aid the analysis of the logs produced by HijackThis. The idea behind the tool is to bring multiple sources of information together from different databases/ websites and, in doing so, save the time it takes to analyse the logs. If you need any support with this tool then click the link to the forum on the left and post a message.

I have also written a tutorial on how to analyse a HijackThis log. This tutorial is aimed at those who feel confident enough to tackle their malware infection on their own or just want a better understanding of what is listed in the log and what they are being asked to "fix". The tutorial shows you how to search for each item in the log manually and how you would would perform the same search using HJTHotkey. It will tell you how and where to look up and research each item in your log, which tools and databases you will need and where to get them. It will also show you how to tell which items need fixing with HijackThis.

Please note that not all problems can be fixed with HijackThis alone. In some cases you may need further help. In the tutorial I have tried to point out which cases this might relate to. If you find that your problem isn't solved by following the tutorial or I have suggested in the tutorial that you may need further help then post your log in one of the malware support the forums.

One of the latest tool I have written is called "GetFiles" which is aimed at those who analyse other peoples logs often. When going through a log and there are items that you want the user you are helping to delete then just paste the lines into this program and it will produce a list of just the paths to the files or folders and add the bbcode formatting to highlight the file/ folder.

I have more recently written a program to convert BBCode to HTML which I will post more details about later.
