As I designed this site, I thought I would be the first to post a message. I am searching on behalf of my husband James Maughan for his birthdaughter Joanne Golightly, born on the 19th May 1972 In Bournemouth and adopted to a family in Lymington, Hants. Joanne you have a full sister, who was also adopted but to our delight we found a few months ago. We are in constant contact. She would dearly love to find you, as she did not know of your exsistance until we made contact. You also have a half sister who is 16 years old and who also would love to make contact with you. I,m looking for my full birth sister who was given the name at birth of Shirley Ann Parkes. I do not know what her name is now though. Shirley was born on 26.08.1965 at Lyncroft House, Handsworth Wood, Birmingham. This was an unmarried mother's salvation army home. Shirley was adopted in June 1966 to a couple then in their 30's who lived in the Birmingham area.

I would like to find my birth father from 1948, his name is Dennis Henry Manns and he would be about 78 years old today. My mother refuses to give any information on him. I believe his family may have a farm in Devon. I was born in Bedfordshire in June of 1948 and was told the last time he saw me was a week later. My parents divorced soon after.
