In A Dream She came to me
Through the mist of the forest she came to me
Her spirit lighting up the uneasy gloom
Angel like, with her skin ivory
And hair golden, sparkling in the glint of the moon.

"Who are you?" I asked her as she circled around
In her flowing silken raiment of cream.
"I am the fairy of the forest", she frowned
"But I am not real, this is only a dream".

"Oh fairy, you find me in my slumber", I sighed
"I thought this was a dream come true,
To find a beauty like yours how I've tried
But sweet lady why are you so blue?"

She whispered to me, in a voice of such sorrow
"I am only a fantasy, out of reach like the mist
For when you awaken to the real world tomorrow
In your dreamless state, I will cease to exist"

"But sweet fairy", I cried "I want you to follow
As I leave this strange forest behind".
"Then say that you love me",she said with a glow
"And in your world such joy I will find".

But before I could say the magical words
I found myself home again
Her voice in my ears, like the song of the birds
But with sunrise came so much pain.

I pray each time I lay down to sleep
To that forest I will return one day
For a promise I have made of undying love
To a fairy in a place far away

A million eyes
No Man on earth can stand alone
and feel that he is whole,
without a heart of yearning for
a woman who stirs his soul.

I found myself stumbling through days
but something stopped me falling
when shadows seemed to close on me
A distant voice I heard calling.

And so you found me in the dark
You showed me light again
Colour once more filled my world
A sun beam through the rain.

Not since we've met has one day passed
that you don't fill my mind
Your presence makes those lonely times
seem so far behind

When night falls gently through the sky
the stars they are set free
I close my tired eyes to the world
And find you next to me

though far apart we can gaze out
To a million eyes up there
for what you see is what I see..
and that we have to share.
