Dedication ceremony
A high profile dedication ceremony took place on Sunday 10th of October 2004 at the site of the memorial. There was a parade of the standards , Ringtail service men and women and the associations marched behind the brass band. After the ceremony there was an RAF aircraft flypast, and the parade marched past Lt CDR HJM Lawrence and others who took the salute. It was a fantastic day with around 500 attending, a fine tribute to those who served at Royal Naval Airstation (HMS RINGTAIL) Burscough. Photo shows Fleet Air Arm National Standard Bearer ,right - and Fleet Air Arm Greater Manchester branch standard bearer ,left. Each year at 11am on the 11th of November wreaths will be laid after a short service at the monument. Everyone welcome please arrive by 10.40am
