- Jeremiah Ellsworth is a
blues-rock band from Central Florida, with three albums of original material available.
The style of the band is exciting and dynamic, clearly
harking back to a classic sound updated for today. Not just great songs, powerful vocals
and searing guitar, but also complex orches-tration and suble blending of musical styles, to
make Jeremiah Ellsworth one of the most interesting and varied bands around.
-The story begins late in 1999,
when Rick Beyer and Mike Carpenter decided to record. They had been in several bands together
off and on for over fifteen years. Now they were ready for something different.
Armed with many songs written by Rick, an 8-track recorder,
and a Yamaha keyboard, they went on to record what came to be known as the
Tomb Of Time album, released in 2000.
With contributions by Rick's son Jarret on guitar and Mixdown
engineer Chris Hattingh assisting with some drum and percussion tracks, the album was
a huge success and personal triumph for the duo.
Shortly after the CD was released, they began recording a second,
more powerful album, which later became known as Branded.
On this album they were joined by
ace session musicians Stan Soloko on drums, and Mark Hovis on congas and percussion. Branded
was an even bigger hit, and received much critical acclaim and demand on the Internet.
- Late in 2001 Rick and Mike were
joined by drummer Mica Parenti, resulting in the third Jeremiah Ellsworth album,
In Stride.
Another powerful album chock full of hard-hitting rock and great ballads, In Stride has once
again established the band around the world. Demand has reached as far away as Brazil, France,
the United Kingdom and many US college radio stations. The band has been on hiatus for most of 2002 while the individual
members pursue solo projects. But they are gearing up for a new album to come out by the fall of 2003.
