Painting Gift: Frank and Marjorie Lucas with their retirement gift, a painting of Mere, presented by MADS Chairperson Adrienne Howell, June Lampard, a society member, and Chris Wood, our recently retired chairman, who instigated the commissioning of the painting.
Mr & Mrs Lucas clocked up 17 years as caretakers at Mere Lecture Hall, the home of MADS.
Ann Read, who with her son Nick Lear has taken over care of the Lecture Hall, painted the picture depicting an unusual view of the centre of Mere.
