Description
A beautiful cosy 17th century detached self-catering cottage surrounded by fields. Set in an elevated position with views south towards the Malvern Hills. The cottage has been tastefully restored maintaining many period features including, exposed beams, lovely old doors and a cider mill and press.

The cottage is available throughout the year for weekly and short breaks bookings. The change over day is Friday. Four bedrooms sleep up to eight people. Three bedrooms are upstairs, two double rooms and a twin bedded room. The twin bedded room upstairs leads off a double bedroom.  There is one twin bedded room on the ground floor. There are two bathrooms one is located on the ground floor.

Equipped to English Tourist Board 3 Star standard. Economy 7 storage heaters and a wood burning stove provide the heating with fan heaters in the bedrooms. Parking is available next to the cottage for five cars. Children and pets are welcome (pets are charged £18 for one or more dogs).

Places to Visit
Bromyard 6 miles. A charming market town with many fine Georgian buildings. Bromyard has a tourist information office, theatre, restaurants, pubs and cafes. There are many shops selling fresh local produce such as bread, cakes, vegetables, meat and pies. There is also a supermarket.

Ledbury  10 miles. Delightful market town, Elizabethan buildings, cobbled lane and market house

Worcester 14 miles. Cathedral, county cricket ground and Royal Worcester Porcelain factory and shop.

Leominster 16 miles. Medieval and Tudor flavour, with Georgian terraces, narrow streets famous for antique shops, galleries and markets.

Hereford 19 miles. Busy market town with cathedral, Matta Mundi map and cider museum.

Ludlow  20 miles. A busy market town with Georgian buildings, castle and river walks.

Walking
There are numerous paths leading straight from the cottage through fields and common land. Local walks can include Bromyard Downs, Bringsty Common and
National Trust woodlands all have unrestricted access to walkers. Badley Wood
Common borders the property on two sides. Local maps and guide books are available in the cottage.

The more adventurous walkers can try the Malvern Hills, Black Mountains, Offa’s Dyke
 path the nearest point is Kington, Mortimer Trail from Kington to Ludlow 30 miles long
or the Worcestershire Way.
Location
Situated 14 miles west of Worcester, two miles from Whitbourne on the Tedstone Delamere road.  Whitbourne is the nearest village and has a shop and two pubs which both serve food. The market town of Bromyard is 6 miles away.
