Fanny Ede (See above photo), was born 21st July 1849, in Dorking Surrey. Her father was James Ede, occupation Labourer. Her mother was Hannah Tidy. (information from birth certificate)

Hobbs Family

George was born in Mudford, Yeovil, Somerset, on 14th April 1850. (information from birth certificate) His occupation was a Tailor, he then became a Caretaker of an Office after he and Fanny moved to London. (Details from census pages and certificates)

George's father was Matthew Hobbs, a Labourer. His mother was Ann Adams - both presumed to have been born in Somerset in the early 1800's.

George and Fanny had five children;
