-  House of Bishops meeting in February.  Preparations for the Lambeth Conf.

- Kola Akinola PNGCP recruit, working as National HIV/AIDS Development Co-ordinator
- Bishops' Walk 2nd/16th Sept. fund raising in honour of the late, great Bp David Hand
PRAY FOR
- the bishops as they travel long distances on foot, caring for isolated priests and people in remote areas
- the pastoral struggle with HIV/AIDS;  Matthew Kuraiwae recently appointed Development Officer in Mt. Hagen
- the Melanesian Brotherhood - working with a recently discovered tribe (the Hagahai);  many MBH Companions
- Simbai Vocational Training Centre, providing practical skills - Peggy Lowe, teacher there.  The High School at Aiome - one of the world's five most remote communities (UNESCO)

PRAY FOR
-  Mothers  Union: young people organising “Children Ministry”; Youth Music Festival in Sept.  St. Barnabas Health Centre;  900-1200 candidates confirmed each year;
-  Diocesan Missioner, Fr Clyde Igara, Co-ordinator “Proclaiming the Gospel, Renewal  and Revival"; The Evangelists' Training Centre/Vocational School at Biniguni;  work on Eucharistic responses in all 14 languages;  ministry to Anglicans in Mogarita area bordering Port Moresby dio. and 3 villages on the Oro Border
GIVE THANKS FOR the successful Provincial Clergy Conference last year

PRAY FOR
-  scattered parishes struggling to support themselves financially, that they may be mature in faith and understanding as they work towards self reliance.
-  the bishop's ministry to his people by boat and on foot; to the whole church by radio sked.   Mother Mary and Baby Allan
GIVING THANKS for a much appreciated UK visit in Jan. 05 for the Training Course at Canterbury Cathedral International Study Centre.
-  the fulfilment of dreams that an Anglican Technical High School in the diocese will become a reality

-  Bp Joe & team (Elijah Sarigari, Stephen Raurela, Billy Baraso) following disastrous Cyclone Guba Nov.07; Harold Richardson, Commissary, helping out for 2 mths; healing of WW2 memories;  Links with Norwich Diocese led by the Bp.of Lynn & Link Officer, Bp. Peter Fox;  Fr. Michael Blain (NZAMB), soon to be Dio. Secretary.  
Provincial Institutions:  Newton Theological College - students & staff:  Fr. Gabriel Menai (Acting Principal), Fr.Spencer, Fr.Elliott & Bp. Rhynold; the appt. of dedicated new staff, following Br. Justus,SSF & Dick Kolai; Rachel Demisi & family; Fr Chris & Nancy Garland, recently returned. Bp.Paul Richardson undertaking a review of Theological Education.  Martyrs School; Community of the Visitation; Mothers' Union.
GIVE THANKS FOR  the 15th Dioc. Synod/Clergy Conference held at Martyrs' School Sept.06, enthusiastic lay participation in colourful and vibrant worship

-  work of the MBH & the SSF amongst the poor, especially 'raskols' (unemployed youth); Anglicare StopAIDS (Duke of Gloucester visits) & its Director, Dominica Abo, the work of domestic violence counselling; communities living with violent crime;  clergy & their families some in dangerous situations; The Mothers' Union. GIVE THANKS FOR a joyful episcopal ordination on 25th March (laying on of hands) at St. Mary's Gerehu; much hard work by so many which made it all possible.
