The Rev'd. P. W. Andersen: Thought For The Weak

THOUGHT FOR THE WEAK

Dear Friends,

Long time, no 'speak'. I really am falling behind with my updates, please accept my apologies. In fact, I am surprised that AOL has not pulled the plug on my homepage by now, as so little seems to happen on it. Then again, perhaps they don't even know it exists? Does anyone?
...
Anyway, to business! And the page today belongs to a charming young lady called Zoe. She is a lively and very talented teenager who lives in Cwmbran, South Wales, and whom my wife Margaret used to childmind. She is also a bit of a theologian, despite her tender age. Just look at what she composed for Easter this year:

E - is for the Enlightenment from God at this special time of year
A - is for the Amazing gift of life God gave us
S - is for the Sunshine on the morning Jesus arose from his deep slumber
T - is for the Tomb where he rested till Easter
E - is for his Enlightener Jesus Christ
R - is for all the times Jesus lets us Redeem ourselves.
(quoted by permission from Zoe)

Zoe says that this was an Easter poem she composed at school, and goes on to say "I thought of Margaret and you when I wrote it!" We are honoured indeed, and I secretly wonder how much Margaret influenced Zoe in her thinking in those early formative years when she child-minded her? Perhaps only God can answer this, but I am sure Zoe herself will have her opinion too? No wonder Jesus said 'Let the children come to me'. So often it is through our young people that we oldies can learn a thing or two. Thank God for them. And why is it only the relatively few 'baddies' among them we hear about and who give the vast majority such a rotten name? Any ideas, Zoe?
...
So, this update belongs to Zoe. I did promise! Please, please, if anyone out there has anything they'd like to share, do e-mail me on pwandersen@aol.com

I'd love to hear from you!
