In 1994 Kurt Russell and James Spader entered the Stargate and a new science fiction action adventure saga was born; the movie spawned a television show, Stargate SG-1 and in turn that series created the spin-off series Stargate Atlantis, sending new heroes to battle with new adversaries far off in the distant Pegasus Galaxy. In 2004, two enterprising fans decided to persue the official tie-in licence and formed Fandemoniun Books, a publisher dedicated to bringing new stories of the Stargate heroes to life. A year later, Fandemonium picked up the rights to produce Atlantis fiction to complement their SG-1 imprint; at the same time, magazine publisher Titan (home of the official Stargate magazine) began publishing original short fiction; then in 2008, Big Finish Productions brought their audio drama expertise to the franchise with a series of new adventures on CD and download, and I've been lucky enough to write for them all... STARGATE AUDIO ADVENTURES Big Finish Productions, known for their excellent Doctor Who, Tomorrow People, Sapphire & Steel, 2000AD and Dark Shadows audio drama series are bringing the worlds of Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis to the audio realm, and I'm writing a few stories for them. The hour-long discs are a kind of halfway-house between a traditional talking book and a full-cast audio play; each has two actors - one lead voice, one supporting - and these are all-new, original stories written specifically for audio.
Set in the 10th season of Stargate SG-1, Shell Game features Claudia Black as Vala Mal Doran and Michael Shanks as Doctor Daniel Jackson. One reaches a certain level of notoriety in the business of appropriating things, and youd think you'd get accommodation that matches your rep. But no Vala Mal Doran finds herself in a particularly sticky situation when an old foe catches up with her. With only Daniel Jackson able to fight her corner, Vala may have to do something that's really not her style tell the truth. To order a copy of Stargate SG-1,

Set early in the 4th season of Stargate Atlantis, Zero Point features David Nykl as Doctor Radek Zelenka and Ursula Burton as Captain Helen Sharpe. Then the energy shockwave hit us, and the Apollo was thrown about as if it were a rowboat in a storm. Zelenka reluctantly finds himself aboard the Starship Apollo as part of Colonel Carters drive to survey the area of space surrounding Atlantis new planet. Its a sensible idea, he understands that but its also very dull. Dull, that is, until the ship discovers an entirely new life form To order a copy of Stargate Atlantis:Zero Point, click Here. I wrote "Outsiders" after I completed work on my Stargate SG-1 novel Relativity, and that book - set late in the show's seventh season - featured the 'classic' cast of Jack, Sam, Daniel and Teal'c. But I'd grown attached to the newer characters of Cameron Mitchell and Vala Mal Doran who joined SG-1 towards the end of the series, and I had a desire to try to write about them. Because I couldn't get them into Relativity, the idea of putting them into a short story was a natural leap. "Outsiders" is first and
foremost a story about Cam Mitchell, all told from his internal viewpoint,
and addressing questions about the circumstances he found himself joining
SG-1 - and also the long shadow cast over the team by the departure of
Jack O'Neill. I also wanted to play with the Mitchell-Vala dynamic a
little, so I did my best to start the tale with a sucker-punch opening
where Cam shoots her dead...
I wrote "Choices" about a week or so before I started work on my Stargate Atlantis novel Halcyon. Because of the publisher's wish to keep the novels in line with the then-current second season of the television show, I wasn't able to include the character of Aiden Ford; Ford had changed from his role as a main cast member to a recurring character after events in the first season finale had left him altered by exposure to an alien mutagen. I knew he' d be back in the episode 'Runner' (and later again in season two), so I came up with the idea of writing a story that was all from Ford's point of view, tackling the ideas of how his changes were affecting him on the inside. I also wanted to show a little bit of Ford's backstory, and so I decided to include a flashback to his pre-Atlantis days...and to bring in another of my favourite characters from the milieu, Jack O'Neill.
