On the 23rd of November, five members form the City of Stoke-on-Trent TC travelled to the Grade 2 National finals. This event is the biggest event of the year for many bouncers who bounce below a grade 1 standard.
Claire Thomas (U13), Sara Fowell (U15). Rebecca Braod (U18), Lisa Broad (U18) and Jessica Barnett (U18) had all qualified to bounce at this event.
Hopes were high that Sara would be able to compete as well as in her previous grade 2 comp when she finished 2nd. After the set and vol Sara was lying in second place with just the top ten to bounce, dominoe style, in the final. Sara performed wonderfully and blasted out her voluntary routine to score mid 8's which secured her second place.
With a team in the U18's the girls performed well with a solid performances to bring home team gold, finally Claire performed well in her first ever finals to finish in 21st place, just .5 behind the top ten!!!
Finally they all got to march out carrying the City of Stoke's name high and proud alongside Louise Finney who was the nominated judge on the day!
