Grade 3 - 7 January

The first grade 3 - 7 of the year saw 20 members from city of S-O-T TC competiting in Brimingham for qualification marks.
It was a day of mjixed fortune with some members narrowly missing out whilst others flew through!
Looking for Grade 2 qualification was Nicola McMahon, Laura Davis, Simon Filson, Leigh Docksey and Naomi Yates. Simon, Leigh and Naomi sailed through to finish in first place and scored the marks needed to take them through to compete in Grade 2. Unfortunately both Laura and Nicky failed to achieve the marks set but will hopefully get closer next time.
In Grade 4 we had several members looking to qualify through to grade 3 but unfortunately no-one managed although several podium placings were achieved. Laura Swanwick finished in first just 0.2 off qualifying whilst along with her team mates Jessica Redfern and Aimie Holland they took gold. Benjamin Bennett and Nathan Ruso both U15 Grade 4 bouncers took gold and silver, respectively but again missed out on qualifying. In the under 11 grade 5 Naikita, Natasha, and Beth all performed strong routines to scoop gold whilst Natasha finished on 4th place just outside the medals.
The day went wonderfully and many medals were collected to add to their collections.
Well done to everyone, and a special thank you to Paula Warwicker who judged on the day for us, whilst Lynne Redfern and Julie Yates marshalled.
