GRADES 3 - 7 (MIDLANDS)
The first competition of the year 2002 was held in Stockland Green on January the 19th.
We had only two competitors entered into this competition due to the change in rules and our lack of judges!!! Claire Thomas was entered into her first grade 4 competition and Louise Finney was entered into her first grade 3 competition.

Louise was on in the morning in the O18 grade 3 category. Her set routine was unfortunately  not upto standard and she lost valuable marks scoring only 22.7. Her voluntary routine went very well however and gave her a score of 24.8 with a tariff of 4.5, this brought the total score upto 52.0 just .5 short of grade 2 qualification, she did however manage to clinch 2nd place, well done Louise!

Claire was on later in the day in the U13 grade 4 category and started of well performing her set routine effortlessly, scoring her 24.3 which placed Claire in 1st place. Her voluntary routine followed scoring her marks of 23.9 with a tariff of 2.1 which brought Claire total to 50.3, which fell short of grade 3 qualification by just .2. In the final Claire performed the sam eroutine scoring her 23.8 which held her in 1st place, well done Claire you were brilliant.

The next grading competition will be held in April were hopefully all will qualify through to the next grade up!
