Judged by Mr David Knight of Wilts, Vincent is 3/4 brother to Ulrick who has been shown successfully this summer 2004.

Vincent was easily born on the 3rd March 2004 and will be shown next year.

Update  24th April 05
Calving has started with a couple of heifers having bull calves, the first by Highlander, the second by Ronick Hawk. The next batch of cows and heifers are due any day now calving to Greenwell Manager, Highlander and the eagerly awaited Mynach Tiger.

Vincent is now the only young bull for sale with Ulrick sold in Carlisle in February, and Ulysses and Unique sold last week at Whitland.
Herd History

The herd was established in 1992 with the purchase of the 4th Calver Peasley Abba. Now in her 17th year she is still in the herd and has just weaned her 12th calf.

A limited number of other purchases have been made but the herd has been closed since 1997. The herd now numbers 21 cows plus young stock of which only 3 are purchased females. We aim to sell bulls at around 18 months of age and heifers would normally be sold with their first calf at foot (around 30 months of age).

All the cows and in-calf heifers are reared commercially. They are wintered in cubicles and fed on silage and straw. During the summer they graze on our steep grassland fields.

Young stock also graze these steep fields during the summer but are wintered in straw yards on Berrystock FeedsŪ.

The herd is Lepto-vaccinated and has had no cases of BSE or TB.

Service Sires used on the herd are selected for Conformation, Growth, High EBVs, Temperament and Easy Calving.

Young Bulls and Females of all ages are usually for sale, and visitors are always welcome. We enjoy and encourage visitors to come and look round the cattle whether they are looking to buy or not.
