Dear Alan,
Just a line to say thanks for your input into Poetry Workshop meeting on 8th March. Although I know the participants were, on the whole, rather shy and reluctant to stand up and recite, you drew us out and enabled a lot more confidence, both in our own work and in our ability to make public recitation. Your own demonstration of the various points you were making were very instructive, great fun to watch, as well. A good reminder, at least for me, that poetry should be enjoyable as well as good!
Overall the organisation of the meeting was excellent, for which many thanks, and your foundation work with the group will stand us in good stead for further improvement when we meet up again. We all came away with a sense of being more comfortable and confident with our own burgeoning talent!
