  Bellahouston Harriers AC

The Bella

Bellahouston Harriers AC was founded in 1892. During its long, prestigious history, the club has won numerous trophies, and even boasted the occasional Olympian. These days, we are a small, friendly club with a motley bunch of members. The club still enters teams in most Scottish road-race and cross-country events. However, there are several members who just run for fun and to stay fit.  New members are always welcome - whatever their standard.

Cartha Queens Park

We are based at Cartha QP Rugby Club, Dumbreck Road, just on the edge of Pollok Park. The club has excellent facilities - changing rooms (m & f), a small weights room, physio, a large bar and committee room. The club is open to members most evenings, and during the day at weekends.

The club is just off Junction1 on the M77. The nearest train stations are Dumbreck or Shawlands. Go to Cartha QP Rugby Club for further details.

Training

The club training sessions are generally:

·         Tuesdays - 7:30pm

·         Thursdays - 6:30pm

·         Saturdays - 10:00 am

During the summer all training is in Pollok Park. In the winter, mid-week sessions are usually in Pollokshields, where the roads are quiet and well-lit.  All sessions start from Cartha Rugby Club. Non-members are always welcome to club training.

Pollok Park

Pollok Park is the perfect venue for running - many miles of scenic paths, trail runs, hills - and all right in the heart of Glasgow's Southside. A few pictures of races and training in the park, can be found by clicking here.
