I reached for the Lord
I reached for the Lord,
And he took my hand.
He picked me back up,
And helped me to stand.
When I lost the way,
And went out of sight.
He took me from the darkness,
And showed me the light.
He gave me the courage,
To fight and be strong.
He gave me his love,
And carried me along.
When I am in need,
The Lord is my friend.
when I need some help,
On the Lord I can depend.
I know that he is there,
To show me the way.
If ever I get lost,
Or go a bit astray.
