CHEROKEE TERRITORY
In memory of Cherokee Gothlet-Tog
(March 1991 - 19th May 2006)

Here she was in happier days, surveying the grounds.

Brother Gomez is a very competent, talented and conscientious gardener, but someone had to keep a beady eye on his  work.
He'll be out toiling in the gardens, then start to daydream and you know that he's having those visions of Eden again and then nothing will be done for the rest of the day!
Of course, some parts of the grounds are rather beautiful and she had been known to have the occasional snooze herself.

Just resting her eyes, of course - she was constantly on the alert.

A cat like Cherokee with such an important position was ever vigilant.
All her own work obviously!

She took weeks to paint this picture of Conor O'Brien from the Ballet Rambert in a pose from Cruel Garden (oh the hours it took Cherokee to get that paint out of her tail - she had to swipe most of Novice Novak's Clinique to do it in the end!)

And here was Cherokee, taking a well earned break from setting up the website for the Order.

Listening to the beautiful music of Novice Novak could be very soothing to her after a hard day at the keyboard.
A feline's work was never done.
Cherokee would always check that the Icons Gallery  was free from dust and make sure the candles were lit in the Shrine to our Beloved Saint Derek of Jarman.

No doubt Princess Francis  would be luxuriating in her realm, with servants to fulfill her every whim; a cigarette holder clutched in her diamond encrusted paw and a chocolate muffin of St Michael on a silver platter.
It was tough to be a cat.

The beautiful Cherokee will be very much missed, especially by Sister Morticia who already feels lost without her constant companion.

Visit Order's discussion FORUM too - yes, Cherokee's technological skills were called on again!  They wanted at place where anyone could talk about Derek Jarman, and his life and work, so Cherry had to talk to SlowMotionAngel and sort that out for them as well.
All original artwork of the Order of St Derek of Jarman pages by Sister Morticia - and Cherokee!!
