The Order of St Derek of Jarman was founded by Brother Gomez, Novice Novak and Sister Morticia who share a mutual love of Derek Jarman's work.
We are now delighted to welcome Brother Blonde of the SlowMotion Chapter into our Order.
We fear that he is in danger of becoming a forgotten figure in British
media culture and his work should be re-discovered and celebrated!
In 1991 Derek Jarman was canonised by the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence as

"Derek" on More4
UK premiere of artist and filmmaker Isaac Julien's film about Derek Jarman will be shown on TV on More4 on Tuesday, 19th February 2008 at 10.00pm.
SERPENTINE GALLERY
The Serpentine Gallery in London is hosting a Derek Jarman Exhibition curated by the celebrated artist and filmmaker Isaac Julien, it will highlight Jarman’s work in film and painting, including his pioneering presentation of the moving image within the gallery context. It will feature
films from Jarman's Super-8 archive, an installation of his film Blue and of some of his paintings. Julien has also created a series of photographic lightboxes documenting Jarman’s cottage and garden in Dungeness.
There will also be Saturday talks and discussions on Jarman's work.
Included in the exhibition will be the premiere of Isaac Julien's new biopic 'Derek'.
