Follow numbered instructions below.

Instructions use drawn illustrations to give an idea
as to what a page or window may look like.
  
While in the FTP space you may wish to create a directory.
However. As you may not have opened the FTP space yet, the first instructions cover that.
Go to number 6, if FTP space is already open.

For the purpose of common usage, the word '
directory' in this context is the same as the word 'folder'.

The instructions below are for
FTP space, which is used only by America.
Most other countries world-wide use 'File Manager'.
If you actually require File Manager.

1. For 'FTP space'.....
Locate and click the 'AOL Keyword' button, on the AOL browser toolbar.


2.
A small window should open.

Type in the words 'FTP space' or 'My FTP space'
or 'my ftp place' and press the 'GO' button.

A window should open that looks generally like this.

You will see the words 'See My FTP Space'. Click on the words.

The next page you see, will be something like this.

Next, click on the 'Create Directory' ICON.

A smaller window will open.



8.
Enter the name YOU want to call the directory [folder].
For the purpose of this instruction, the new directory is being called 'music' but you can use any name you like.

Note: The use of the words 'Remote Directory' actually means.
Whatever you type in here is the
name of the directory [folder]
that will appear in the FTP space.



9.
Click 'Continue' to move to next window.



10.
This confirm will pop-up. Click 'OK'.



11.
The NEW directory
[folder] will show in FTP space.



The same process can be used to create another directory [folder] in the main 'FTP space'. Or you can actually open an existing directory [folder] and create a new directory [folder] within that.
