TECHNICAL  INFORMATION


ENGINE


Rover V8  4800cc , originally a 4600cc . 3.4" stroke crank, Venolia pistons 11:1 compression , 5.7'' eagle chevy rods, crane solid lifter cam ,Yella Terra roller rockers. SD1 rover heads , ported by myself and fitted with 1.630 intake and 1.400 exhaust valves.
A 4/71 B.D.S supercharger sits on a plenum which is bolted to a rover injection manifold. On top of this lot sits an Enderle mechanical injection bug catcher. At the front we have a 80gph belt driven pump to keep the methanol flowing. The ignition system is a 7AL MSD and HVC2 coil .
TRANSMISSION
Manual 4 speed Liberty equalizer. Twin plate adjustable clutch.

REAR AXLE
Ford 9'',spool, Strange shafts, 4.33:1 gears.

CHASSIS
Tubular chassis , designed and fabricated by myself . Front suspension is based on Capri struts with spax inserts , on the rear are Competition Engineering ladder bars , strange double adjustable coilover shocks with 90 lb springs..

WHEELS & TYRES

Weld rims 4.5'' x 15'' front and 12'' x 15'' rear . Tyres M/T front runners on the front and 32''x13.5w x15 stiff wall Hoosier slicks on the rear.
BODYWORK

The  bodyshell started life as a fibreglass pop saloon shell , which I cut up and fibreglassed back together to form the cab . As this was originally built as a street car with no intention of racing, it is rather heavy . The front end on the other hand I built  very light  for the race car, from my own mould , which I made from a front I had previously modified. The pick-up bed is made from alluminium with steel support .The rear arches are much widened Ford model A
