This website has been created and is maintained by Lois and Ilsa. This site celebrates the work of Conrad Veidt and Robert Newton. It is a non-profit making, educational and cultural resource of Silent and Classic Cinema, covering Germany, Britain and Hollywood films from 1917 - 1956. All the photographs that appear herewith are from our own personal collections. The copyrights of the photographs (which are not in the public domain) remain the property of the copyright holders. As our collections of Silent and Classic Cinema material comes from a variety of sources (auctions, antique shops and other collectors), from various different countries, it is virtually impossible to be certain who (if anyone) still owns the copyright.
