SYNOPSIS
The British are on retreat as Rommel (James Mason) heads for the Suez Canal but in between lies Tobruk. The British Captain MacRoberts (Richard Burton) heads the Australian troops stationed there. MacRoberts leads the men into daring raids against Rommel‘s troops. Stationed at Tobruk for two months, initially, they are there for nine and the hope of relief is fading.
