And we got this:
An amazing array of GREEN goods, each fulfilling one or more of the above criteria - AND NOTHING LESS!- in a wounderful, rummagey, very browser friendly shop.
Shampoos, notebooks, and recycled bog-roll (super-soft and what "user friendly" was coined for);juices, t-shirts,snacks and washing powder; incense, towels, bags and throws; sanitary products, mueslis, pants, shaving oil, soaps, mirrors and skirts... we began with all of these and more. May we recommend both organic cotton and hemp socks for serious walkers.
WE GREW:
Fresh breads appeared and we added chilled stuff: milk, yogs, butter, pizza, an' that. Next an off-licence for sale of beers, ciders, wines, spirits etc (-for when you can't get to Barrels, you Know?) Fresh fruit & veg, eggs and meat (try the ham, man). Till finally - with not even ceiling space to spare - came: "Extended Premises".
AND NEXT......
A move along the road to 30 Bridge Street, even handier for Brilliant Bicycles (and the free car-park for the idle), into much bigger premises. The flit will have happened by April Fools Day 2001. WOW!
