The Riggin
Neil Paterson and Karen Hannah make up this duo which is named after the range of hills running through Fife.
Karen is an excellent young fiddle player from Balmullo in the North of Fife. Her music has taken her to countries all over the world, including France, Denmark and New Zealand to name but a few. She has played at numerous festivals as a solo player and also as part of 'The Midden' - a four piece all female group who won a prestigious 'Danny' award at Celtic Connections.
Neil is from Milnathort and plays Smallpipes, Highland Pipes, Border pipes, Whistles & Guitar. He has Recorded with Gaberlunzie, Sheena Wellington, Tich Frier, John Watt, The Lomond Ceilidh Band and Colin Ramage amongst others. He has also played 'live' on Radio Scotland's 'Take The Floor' and 'Travelling Folk' Programmes.
Neil and Karen play a variety of tunes and songs with energy, feeling & sensitivity.
